Dr. Ylva Persson (DVM, PhD)

Dr. Ylva Persson is currently working as a State Veterinarian (National Veterinary Institute, Sweden) and an Associate Professor (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Sweden). She has performed studies on mastitis in cows, goats, and sheep, both in Sweden and in parts of Africa. She has over 100 national and international scientific publications so far. Dr. Ylva has led several international projects in Sweden and low- or middle-income countries.

Dr. Fabrizio Ceciliani  (DVM, PhD)

Dr. Fabrizio Ceciliani is currently working as a full professor and PhD coordinator in the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science at Università degli Studi di Milano Statale, Italy. Prof. Ceciliani has over 200 national and international scientific publications so far. Prof. Ceciliani has been awarded several renowned grants e.g., Swedish Research Council; EU Grant INTERREG IV C; H2020-MSCA- ITN-2017.

Dr. Gerrit Koop (DVM, PhD) 

Dr. Gerrit Koop is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences, Farm Animal Health, Utrecht University, The Netherlands. Dr. Koop has over 50 national and international scientific publications so far. He has experience as a veterinary epidemiologist focusing on mastitis research. He is currently involved in research projects on mastitis in several ruminant species (cattle in The Netherlands and Ethiopia, sheep in the Netherlands, and goats in Turkey and Bangladesh) and has also worked on goat and cattle mastitis projects in the USA and in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Marjolein Derks (DVM, PhD) 

Dr. Marjolein Derks is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Farm Technology Group at Wageningen University & Research, The Netherlands. Dr. Derks has over 40 national and international scientific publications so far. She has a strong background in animal health economics as well as in farmer motivation. She has been involved in several renowned projects e.g., Connected Circularity: ensuring product quality and safety, regenerative farming, and smart Indonesian agriculture.

Dr. Sofia Boqvist (DVM, PhD) 

Dr. Sofia Boqvist is currently working as a senior researcher with special responsibility for extension, Department of Biomedical Sciences and Veterinary Public Health (BVF) at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala Sweden. She has a special responsibility for external collaboration within the food safety area in her current position. Dr. Boqvist has over 140 national and international scientific publications so far.

Dr. Md. Ahsanul Hoque (DVM, PhD) 

Dr. Md. Ahsanul Hoque is currently working as a professor of Veterinary Epidemiology in the Department of Medicine and Surgery, at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Bangladesh. Dr. Hoque has led a number of international collaborations among several countries focusing on veterinary students’ clinical skill development and his versatile research expertise expanded to find practical solutions to the problems in the dairy and poultry industry in Bangladesh.

Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman (DVM, PhD)

Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman is currently working as a professor in the Department of Medicine and Surgery, at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Bangladesh. He is teaching infectious diseases of food animals at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research activities center on infectious diseases, especially mastitis in ruminants. He has a good understanding of dairy cattle farming in European and Bangladeshi situations.

Dr. Delower Hossain (DVM, PhD fellow)

Dr. Delower Hossain is currently working as an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine and Public Health under the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Dhaka, Bangladesh and he is now engaged as PhD fellow in the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, at Università degli Studi di Milano Statale, Italy. Dr. Hossain has 22 national and international scientific publications so far. He won the prestigious Gustav Rosenberger Memorial Award (GRMF) 2019 for the first time in Bangladesh due to his excellent research and contribution to dairy in Bangladesh. He led the development of the previous website of Udder Health Bangladesh which was very helpful during the reformation made in this updated website of UHB. He has published several articles in international peer-reviewed journals. He has an immense interest in working for animal health and welfare.

Dr. Shuvo Singha (DVM, PhD)

Dr. Shuvo Singha is currently working as a Udder Health research fellow in the Department of Medicine and Surgery, at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Bangladesh. He has recently completed his PhD from the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, at Università degli Studi di Milano Statale, Italy. He has been working for over 5 years as a researcher in udder health and milk quality at Udder Health Bangladesh. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed reputed journals and has been trained in several EU countries in his academic career. He led the drafting of the two versions of the Udder health manual to be used as practical guidelines for dairy farmers in Bangladesh. He also led the reformation of the website of Udder Health Bangladesh.

Dr. Md. Saiful Bari (DVM, PhD)

Dr Md. Saiful Bari is working as an associate professor in the Department of Dairy and Poultry Science at Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU). He is also serving as the Director of the dairy farms of the Research and Farm-based campus of CVASU. He has obtained a PhD in free-range laying hen welfare at the University of New England, Australia, joint with Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIRO) in Armidale, with the passion to contribute significantly to worldwide animal welfare issues. Dr. Bari has over 50 national and international scientific publications so far.

Dr. Md Nurul Islam (DVM, PhD fellow)

Dr. Islam is working as a PhD fellow at The University of Wisconsin, United States, and a Technical Advisor at GHD|EMPHNET and holds a Master’s in Veterinary Medicine (Biosecurity & wildlife health) through the One Health Fellowship Program at Massey University, New Zealand. Dr. Islam has 23 national and international scientific publications so far. His expertise lies in outbreak investigation, one health surveillance designing, and addressing complex challenges posed by emerging infectious diseases and neglected zoonotic diseases, focusing on wildlife health and nature conservation. He is also deeply interested in combining strategic foresight, One Health, and Ecohealth approaches to tackle these challenges.

Dr. Sazeda Akter (DVM, MSc fellow)

Dr. Sazeda Akter is currently an MSc fellow in Veterinary Epidemiology and an Assistant Professor at the Department of Medicine and Surgery, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU). Her expertise spans various subjects, including Farm Animal Medicine, Preventive Veterinary Medicine, and Veterinary Epidemiology. She has published 13 research papers and has actively accomplished multiple research projects, such as “Virulence factors in Staphylococcus associated with goat mastitis and antimicrobial resistance genes in Chattogram, Bangladesh”. She is also an integral team member of the EUROPEAN COMMISSION Erasmus+ Programme (ERASMUS) funded project titled “Building the practical and theoretical knowledge capacity to monitor, assess, and mitigate the risks of vector-borne diseases in Bangladesh.”

Dr. Unusing Marma (DVM, MSc fellow)

Dr Unusing Marma joined UHB as a research assistant in February 2023. He is pursuing an MSc in Medicine under the Department of Medicine and Surgery at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU). In 2021, he graduated from CVASU with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. Since 2019, Dr. Marma has been actively involved in a Bangladesh-Sweden-Netherlands collaborative project titled “Climate change mitigation by a sustainable water buffalo dairy chain in Bangladesh”. This project, funded by the Swedish Research Council, Sweden, aims to address the environmental impact of water buffalo dairy production while ensuring the industry’s sustainability.

Dr. Sirazul Islam Sagor (DVM, MSc Fellow)

Dr. Sirajul Islam Sagor is currently working on his thesis on Brucellosis in water buffalo in Bangladesh. He joined UHB as a research assistant in February 2023. He is pursuing an MSc in Epidemiology under the Department of Medicine and Surgery at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU). In 2021, he graduated from CVASU with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. Since 2019, Dr. Sagor has been actively involved in a Bangladesh-Sweden-Netherlands collaborative project titled “Climate change mitigation by a sustainable water buffalo dairy chain in Bangladesh”. Dr. Tishita Sen Ape (DVM, MSc Fellow)

Dr. Tishita Sen Ape became part of UHB in January 2023 as a research assistant. She is pursuing her MSc in Epidemiology under the Department of Medicine and Surgery at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU). In her way of education journey, she graduated in 2023 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from CVASU with a one-year internship and externship program at home and abroad (Malaysia) with clinical and laboratory training. Her thesis topic is “A longitudinal study on the isolation of Prototheca spp. from environmental sources in dairy herds and bulk milk quality in Chattogram, Bangladesh”.

Dr. Hasnat Jahan Rumi became part of UHB in January 2023 as a research assistant. In her way of education journey, she completed her graduation in 2023 with a degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from CVASU with a one-year internship programme. Dr. Mohammad Mehedi Hasan became part of UHB in January 2025 as a research assistant. In his way of education journey, he graduated in 2024 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from CVASU with a one-year internship and externship program at home and abroad (Malaysia) with clinical and laboratory training. Dr. Md. Shahin Alam became part of Udder Health Bangladesh (UHB) in February 2025 as a research assistant. Currently, he is pursuing his MSc in Medicine under the Department of Medicine and Surgery at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU). In his way of education journey, he completed his graduation in 2024 with a degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from CVASU with a one-year internship programme. Dr. Anik Dutta (DVM, MSc Fellow) 

Dr. Anik Dutta became part of UHB in February 2025 as a research assistant. Currently, he is pursuing his MSc in Medicine under the Department of Medicine and Surgery at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU). In his way of education journey, he completed his graduation in 2024 with a degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from CVASU with a one-year internship programme. His thesis topic is “Investigation of antimicrobial resistance profile of bacteria isolated from the suppurative wound in a captive Royal Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris) in the environment-human interface in Chattogram Zoo, Bangladesh”.

Dr. Md. Faridul Islam (DVM, MSc)

Dr Md. Faridul Islam is currently working as an assistant teacher in Mahmudabad Govt. Primary School, Chattogram, and as a self-motivated veterinary practitioner in the Sitakundu Region in Chattogram, Bangladesh. Dr. Islam pursued his DVM and MSc in Medicine in 2017 and 2019, respectively under the Department of Medicine and Surgery at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU). He did his master’s thesis on epidemiology and molecular characterization of Theileriosis in Goats in Chattogram. Dr. Farid has published several publications in international peer-reviewed journals. He has engaged with UHB since 2019. He made an immense contribution by drafting the Bangla translation of the version of the Udder Health Manual for dairy farmers. Currently, he is also working on the Bangla translation of the water buffalo part of the UHB website content.

Dr. Sanjib Chandra Nath (DVM, MSc)

Dr. Sanjib Chandra Nath is now working on a Global Health Development (GHD) project in the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (EMPHNET), Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute (BLRI), Bangladesh. He is from Raozan, Chattogram completed his master’s in Epidemiology in 2022 under the Department of Medicine and Surgery at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU), Chattogram, Bangladesh. He has completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2018 obtaining CGPA 3.60 (out of 4.0) from CVASU. Previously he worked as a Research Assistant in the project “Climate change mitigation by a sustainable water buffalo dairy chain in Bangladesh”, in the Udder Health Bangladesh team.

Dr. Ovirup Bhushan Paul (DVM, MSc)

Dr. Ovirup Bhushan Paul is currently working as a Scientific Officer, at the Animal Health Research Division, Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute, Savar-1341, Dhaka. Dr. Ovirup is from Chattogram, he completed his master’s in Epidemiology under the Dept. of Medicine and Surgery at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) in 2022. Previously, he accomplished his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in October 2018 from CVASU. He did his master’s thesis on “Prevalence of subclinical mastitis and associations with risk factors in buffaloes in Noakhali district of Bangladesh”. He worked as a Research Assistant (RA) in a Bangladesh-Sweden-Netherlands collaborative project with Udder Health Bangladesh.

Dr. Nasreen Sultana (DVM, MSc)

Nasreen Sultana Mili, daughter of Manir Ahmmed and Akter Jahan. She has passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in 2009 and Higher Secondary Certificates (HSC) examination in 2011. She has obtained the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, recently. She wants to prove herself as a good veterinarian and to utilize her interpersonal knowledge of veterinary medicine, wants to obtain higher study in microbiology, preventive and veterinary Clinical Medicine, increase both subjective and practical experiences, become a professional researcher, clinician, and finally apply them as effectively as possible for making the world as a better place.

Dr. Salma Chowdhury (DVM, MSc)

Dr. Salma Chowdhury is currently working as an Assistant Manager (Veterinarian) in Milk Vita, Sonagazi, Feni. She was awarded the prestigious Gustav Rosenburg Memorial Fund Award in 2020 and she spent 6 months as an Udder health fellow at Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy. Previously, she completed her MS in Medicine, Dept. of Medicine and Surgery at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU), Chattogram. She accomplished her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2018 from CVASU. She has obtained an excellent academic record (CGPA 3.88 out of 4.00) with a one-year duration internship and externship program at home and abroad (USA and India). Now, she worked as a Research Assistant in a Bangladesh-Sweden-Netherlands-Italy collaborative project “Climate change mitigation by a sustainable water Buffalo dairy chain in Bangladesh” with Udder Health Bangladesh.

Dr. Fatiha Emnoor Eima is currently working as a pet animal practitioner in PAW Life Care, Dhaka. Previously, she completed her MS in Medicine, Dept. of Medicine and Surgery at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU), Chattogram. She accomplished her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2018 from CVASU. She did her master’s thesis on “Evaluation of bulk milk collected from selected dairy farms in Chattogram”.

Dr. Subramanian Sivaraman (DVM, PhD)

Dr. S. Sivaraman has been working as an assistant professor at Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, India since 2010. Dr. S. Sivaraman is the founder member of the “Large Animal Veterinary Association” in Tamil Nadu well known as one of the most popular clinicians in India in the management of large animals and small animal dermatology. Dr. Sivaraman completed his graduation in Veterinary Medicine in 1995 from Madras Veterinary College, India. He did his PhD on “Downer cow syndrome in large animals”. He has more than 70 national and international publications.

Dr. Domenico Vecchio (DVM, PhD)

Domenico Vecchio works at the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale del Mezzogiorno (Italian National Reference Centre on Water Buffalo Farming and Productions Hygiene and Technologies) Unit (IZSM) since 2014. He is also an external professor at Universidade Federal Rural Da Amazonia, Brazil since 2021. His research works touch on several themes, like biotechnology of reproduction, animal welfare, and biosecurity, and published 84 articles, one book, and one book chapter.

Dr. Cristina Lecchi (PhD)

Dr. Cristina Lecchi is currently working as an associate professor in the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science at Università degli Studi di Milano Statale, Italy. She teaches Veterinary Pathology and Inspection of Food of Animal Origin to veterinary graduate students. Dr. Lecchi has over 130 national and international scientific publications so far. Dr. Lecchi has been awarded several renowned grants and has been involved as an associate editor in Frontiers in Veterinary Science and in Scientific Reports.

Dr. Abdul Samad (DVM, PhD)

An alumnus of Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, Ontario Canada; Canadian Commonwealth Scholar, Former Dean, Bombay Veterinary College, and Former Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University. Currently, A Founder and Director, of Vetware Private Limited, specializing in the marketing of livestock management software, animal health IoT, and tele-veterinary services. The system currently provides data services to > one million cows and buffaloes. His area of specialization is data-led herd health and productivity enhancement services. His expertise is in setting up disease prevention and fertility and genetic improvement programs for large herds.

Dr. M. Golam Shahi Alam (DVM, PhD)

Prof. M. Golam Shahi Alam is currently working as a full member of “The Bangladesh Accreditation Council”. He was a former Vice-Chancellor, of Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh, and a retired Professor at Bangladesh Agricultural University. Prof. Alam is an experienced Professor with a demonstrated history of working in the environmental services industry. Skilled in Statistics, Research, Life Sciences, Data Analysis, and Teaching. Strong education professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused in Veterinary Clinical Science (Stress and Reproduction) from the University of Liverpool. Professor Alam was a member of the Syndicate of BAU and Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Trisal, Mymensingh and since 2013 he has been working as one of the members of the Regent Board of the Jashore University of Science & Technology. In 2016 Prof. Alam was awarded the Gold Medal by the Bangladesh Academy of Agriculture for his outstanding contribution in education and research.

Dr. Md. Matiar Rahman Howlader (DVM, PhD)

Dr. Howlader retired as a Professor of Veterinary Physiology who served as the Vice Chancellor of Sylhet Agricultural University for a tenure of four years from 28 September 2018 to 27 September 2022. Dr. Howlader obtained his PhD from the prestigious University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB), Philippines in 1993. He graduated with DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) in 1979 and obtained his MSc degree in 1980 from Bangladesh Agricultural University. Dr Howlader received several fellowships and awards throughout his academic career. He became Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Physiology in 2000 and Professor in 2003 of Sylhet Agricultural University. He has authored or co-authored 90 peer-reviewed journal articles and one book. Besides, he supervised 2 Ph.D. (current students) and 53 Master students.

Dr. Momena Khatun (DVM, PhD)

Dr. Momena Khatun is working as an associate professor and head of the Department of Surgery and Obstetrics, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). Dr. Khatun has completed her DVM in 2007 and MSc in 2009 from BAU. Then she did her second MSc from Aarhus University, Denmark in 2011. Thereafter, she was awarded her PhD from Sydney University, Australia and she also recently finished her Post-Doc in Veterinary Physiology, at Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Bern, Bern, Switzerland. Dr. Momena has expertise in epidemiology and demonstrated skills in data science mainly using R and Python programming. She has published more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Md. Taohidul Islam (DVM, PhD)

Dr. Taohidul Islam is working as a professor at the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). Dr. Islam completed his DVM in 2001 and MSc in 2003 from BAU. Then he was awarded PhD from BAU in 2010. He did his Post-Doc at the Technical University of Munich, Germany in 2018. Dr. Islam has expertise in epidemiology and herd health. He has published more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Md Robiul Karim (DVM, PhD)

Dr. Md Robiul Karim has been working as an Associate Professor and Head in the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine & Animal Science, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU), Gazipur, Bangladesh. He joined the research group of Prof. Dr. Longxian Zhang at the International Joint Research Laboratory for Zoonotic Diseases of Henan and received his PhD degree in 2014 from Henan Agricultural University, China. He was hired as a post-doctoral scholar at the State Key Laboratory of Bioreactor Engineering, School of Resources and Environmental Engineering, East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai, China. His research interests focus on molecular epidemiology, population genetics, transmission and environmental biology of food- and water-borne pathogens as well as other emerging zoonotic pathogens; metagenomics and whole genome sequencing of pathogens and the development of effective molecular epidemiologic tools; vector-borne tropical diseases and Wolbachia-based biological control of mosquito vectors.

Dr. M. Nazmul Hoque (DVM, PhD)

Dr. Hoque is currently serving as the Head of the Department of Gynecology, Obstetrics and Reproductive Health, BSMRAU. Dr. Hoque obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2007 from the Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh – 2202, Bangladesh. He completed his MSc in Theriogenology in 2009 from the BAU, Bangladesh. Dr. Hoque received his doctoral (PhD) degree from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2021 under BSTFT (Bangabandhu Science and Technology Fellowship Trust) fellowship program. He was a Visiting Researcher at the Computational Biology Institute (CBI), George Washington University, Washington DC, USA for three months. Dr. Hoque’s contributions to biological science have been published in > 70 peer-reviewed international journals

Dr. Abdul Gaffar Miah (AH, PhD)

Dr. Abdul Gaffar Miah is working as a professor at the Department of Genetics & Animal Breeding, Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Science, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science & Technology University, Bangladesh. He was awarded PhD in Reproductive Biotechnology from Shinshu University, Japan in 2007. He did his Post-Doc on Sperm cryobiology at Bonn University, Germany, Sydney University, Australia, and Shinshu University, Japan.

Dr. Mohammed Kawser Hossain (DVM, PhD)

Dr. Mohammed Kawser Hossain has been working as a professor of Theriogenology since 2015 and to date exploited his responsibility in teaching, research, and extension. He conducts both the theoretical and practical classes of Theriogenology at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has got field experience in the productive and reproductive management of dairy cows and the socio-economics of dairy farmers. Additionally, he has expertise in molecular and cell biology, especially in cell culture, PCR, western blot, ELISA, and Fluorescence microscopy. His primary focus on research is to improve of the fertility of postpartum dairy cows and heifers and genetic upgradation of native cattle by artificial insemination with high-quality bull to improve milk and meat production in the north-east region of the country.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman (AH, PhD)

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman is currently working as Deputy Director of Livestock Statistical Officer and Associate Professor at BCS Livestock Academy, Bangladesh. Dr. Rahman completed his B.Sc.( Hons) in Animal Husbandry in 1998 at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). He was awarded MSc and PhD from BAU in 2000, and 2020, respectively. Dr. Rahman received PGT in Animal Breeding and Genetics from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, and Massey University, New Zealand. Dr. Rahman has been very popular in training dairy farmers for over a decade and he has vast expertise in the practical aspects of dairy nutrition. He was one of the founding well-wishers and was involved in many activities with Udder Health Bangladesh.

Dr. Farhad Hossain (DVM, MSc)

Dr. Farhad Hossain is now working as the Managing Director of CVRT and Chief Dairy Consultant at Nahar Dairy, Nahar Agro Group, Chattogram. He was the Former Director, of the Livestock Research Institute, Mohakhali, Dhaka at the Department of Livestock Services. Dr. Hossain is a very popular veterinary practitioner across the country and has over 30 years of clinical practice in dairy farms. He is particularly very well known for his remarkable expertise in reproductive issues in dairy cows. Dr. Hossain is also one of the founding well-wishers and was involved in many activities with Udder Health Bangladesh.

Dr. Dibyendu Biswas (DVM, PhD)

Dr. Dibyendu Biswas is working as a professor in the Dept. of Medicine, Surgery and Obstetrics, Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Barishal Campus, Bangladesh. For about 15 years Dr.  Biswas has been involved in teaching farm animal reproduction, and treatment, including management, diagnosis, and prevention of diseases. Also, his expertization has been on disease model animal production through Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer (SCNT), in-vitro and ex-vivo model embryo production, semen analysis, and processing. Apart from this, he has experience in large and small animal surgery.

Dr. Md. Jalal Uddi  Sarder (DVM, PhD)

Dr. Md. Jalal Uddin Sarder is working as a professor and Dean, at the Faculty of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Dr. Sarder completed his DVM in 1982 and MSc in 1991 from BAU. Then he was awarded PhD from the Department of Genetics and Breeding, University of Rajshahi, in 2004. He has published one book chapter and more than 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Sabrina Ferdous (DVM, MSc)

Dr. Sabrina Ferdous is working as a Lecturer (Medicine), in the Department of Clinical Courses in Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Gono Bishwabidyalay, Bangladesh. Dr. Ferdous did her DVM and MSc in Medicine from Chattogram Veterinary Animal Sciences University in 2017, and 2020, respectively. She has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Ferdous was very well known for her active contribution to research from her university life. She voluntarily participated in several activities with Udder Health Bangladesh.

Mohammad Abdul Mannan (DVM Intern)

Mohammad Abdul Mannan is an intern veterinary student at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) expecting to finish his DVM degree in February 2025. He is also serving as the President of the International Veterinary Students Association (IVSA), CVASU. He has been actively participating as a volunteer in research activities with the Udder Health Bangladesh team since 2019. He has experience in aseptic milk sample collection, bacteriological culture, culture sensitivity tests, and scientific writing. He has been engaged in different extra-curricular activities particularly when he led the organization of a veterinary education program for school kids and a mass Rabies vaccination program for stray dogs by IVSA. In the future, he is interested in pursuing his higher studies in Veterinary Epidemiology and contributing to identifying effective control measures against infectious diseases.
