Milk is an ideal source of high quality protein and micronutrients for human. Mastitis is the most costly disease of cows and has impact on milk yield and food safety. Presence of high bulk milk somatic cell count (BMSCC) and pathogens in milk are indications of milk quality. Irrational usages of antibiotics are responsible in developing antimicrobial resistance and also affect the milk value chain due to residual effect. The present work was conducted to know BMSCC, pathogens distribution, antimicrobial sensitivity and types of antibiotics use to treat mastitis.
